So I haven't gotten much at all done in the last few days.. I think the rainbow-y wave thing is up to its third repetition of the color pattern.. I started a dress.. hopefully for my cousin but I think its too big.. but thats ok.. If she does like it.. I can make another one a bit smaller or something and just sell this one.. but I realllllly do need some sort of dress mannequin thingy for this so It's at a stalled point... the ripply blanket should be done by nowww >.< for one of this size.. I usually finish them in about a week.. but that cold that had me at the beginning of the month has still been plaguing me in the background of things.. plus that stupid monthlycursecomingupanydaynow.. ;laks jfgiojwioejhdafkl so yeah.. life happens..

Rules of Rural MI... XD

The Rules of Rural Michigan are as Follows:

1. Pull your droopy pants up. You look like an idiot.

2. Turn your cap right, your head isn't crooked.

3. Let's get this straight; it's called a 'dirt road.'. No matter how slow you drive, you're going to get dust on your Lexus. Get out of the way!

4. To us they are cattle. Think of them as live steaks. They smell funny to you, but they smell like money to us. Get over it.

5. We're not impressed that you have a $60,000 car. We have $150,000 corn pickers that are driven only 3 weeks a year.

6. Every person in rural Michigan waves at you. We think of it as being friendly. Try to understand the concept.

7. If that cell phone rings while an 8-point buck and 3 does are coming in, we WILL shoot it out of your hand. You better hope you don't have it up to your ear at the time.

8. Yeah, we eat taters & gravy, beans & cornbread. We fry our fish after catchin' 'em. You really want sushi & caviar? It's available at the corner bait shop.

9. The 'Opener' refers to the first day of deer season. It's a religious holiday held the 15th of November.

10. We open doors for women. That is applied to all women, regardless of age.

11. No, there's no 'vegetarian special' on the menu. Order steak. Or you can order the Chef's Salad and pick off the 2 pounds of ham & turkey.

12. When we fill out a table, there are three main dishes: meats (includes fish), vegetables, and breads. We use four spices: salt, pepper, hot sauce and ketchup. Oh, yeah.... We don't care what you folks in Cincinnati call that stuff you eat... IT AIN'T REAL CHILI!!

13. You bring 'coke' into my house, it better be brown, wet and served over ice.

14. You bring 'Mary Jane' into my house, she better be cute, know how to shoot, drive a truck, and have long hair.

15. College & High School Football is as important here as the Bears or the Bulls, & a dang site more fun to watch.

16. Yeah, we have golf courses. But don't hit the water hazards -- it spooks the fish.

17. Colleges? We have them all over. We have State Universities, Community Colleges, and Vo-techs. They come outta there with an education plus a love for God and country, and they still wave at everybody when they come home for the holidays.

18. We have a whole ton of folks in the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marines. Plus we have the Michigan Militia!
So don't mess with us. If you do, you will get whipped by the best.

19. Turn down that blasted car stereo! That thumpity-thump crap ain't music, anyway. We don't want to hear it anymore than we want to see your boxers. Refer back to #1.

20. Four inches of snow isn't a blizzard - it's a flurry. Drive like you got some sense in it, and DON'T take all our bread, milk, and toilet paper from the grocery stores. This ain't Alaska! Worst case, you may have to live a whole day without croissants. The pickups with snow blades will have you out the next day.

21. I-94 goes east and west, I-75 goes north and south. Pick one.

The fiddlesome block!!@#!@# you know how a few posts back i said i ran out of gold yarn well i discovered that the hobbylobby gold color that ive got in the ripply waveyblanket is almost exactly the same shade.. its just the smallest hints of yellowerness.. the more fiddlesome difference is that the yarn is softer, thinner, and has a shine to it that the redheart does not. Buuuuuut.. i decided that since it was just.. two sides.. and inner sides at that.. that it shouldnt be too bad of a difference.. and look at the piccy.. (I know the color sucks.. i just cant be arsed to get the big cam out) you can barely tell!l;asjf;klasjf;kljdf so yeah.. i'll be finishing putting the fourblockgroups together with the green.. then doing a large green outside.. I'll posteth a pic when its done!!

So I went shopping with the cuz.. bought a couple skeins.. didn't find any of that gold so I'll probably be buying it online. Mum text-ed me while we were on our way home to say that my book/yarn had arrived in the mail.. that stuff I won from stitch.tac.sew's February giveaway lol Woooo got home its some honkin soft yarn without being weak feeling.. i may just splurge on getting some more of it in other colors.. the Book.. kickass patterns man.. I cant knit worth a damn but the crochet ones I'll probably be doing. That wavey blanket's only about twice as long as it was in the picture cause that stupid sicky came back n Ive been a bit under again.. wahhh.. but anyway.. spring is here.. although its snow outside.. its melting.. thing's will get better.

Got the pattern from Attic24. Gotta love those bright colors.. I had all these single skeins of color and couldnt think of what to do with them till i saw the tutorial last night lol. I've seen it before but it never clicked lol. There's 8 colors total .. a Dark Green(Caron One Pound Forest Green 534) Lightish Purple(RedHeart SS Lavender 0358) Nice deep blue (RH SS Royal 0385) Bright Red (RH SS Cherry Red 0319) Light aqua blue (RH SS Aruba Sea 0505) Purple (RH SS Amethyst 0356) Bright freakin Orange (RH SS Pumpkin 0254) and a goldeny yeller (HobbyLobby IlovethisYarn Sungold 156) Not a huge fan of the HobbyLobby yarns but i needed a yeller for this blankie.. too many dark colors and it wouldnt have the same Pop!

I got --)  (-- <<that close to being able to finish in a few days the sunflowerything ive been working on and on the last block of the last four square grouping on its last two sides.. im out of the yeller yarn!@#$#@%$#^%$#^$%^T%$% good thing though.. its redheart gold.. so its not like an old yarn out of print or anything. So yeah.. its on hold till i get more yeller.. blarghhhhh

so other news.. not much.. now ive got to find something else to do while waiting till the next yarncrawlbuying time.. blarghhhh.. i think imma go back to the lil granny dressthing.. and just make it fer the barbie.. some of the stuff i make for her does end up fitting real people(kids) cause yarn does have a bit o stretch and such.

Shrek Nuclear YinYangs

Watching Shrek and Woooo! Finally finished the minigranny yinyang!!
Im thinking about adding a couple more rows of black around the outside but not quite sure about that. The white side is only outlined on one side.. it'd be too bulky if i did it in the same fashion on both sides.. but ohwells.. i decided that the next time i make this it'll be done in three colors so i dont have to worry about outlining and such lol.
So Japan's now having problems with their nuclear plants.. sad.. and so many people dead.. I read on someones blog about a "prediction" about the 19th the full moon will be at its closest to the earth point than its been in a number of years.. and this'll cause some sort of epic earthquake in Cali.. Bro's friend is supposed to be going back there on Friday.. the day before.. but..all one can do is hope that nothing happens.. or that if something does that it wont be too bad..
